Product Description
It's a blast from the Sega Dreamcast past as Crazy Taxi skids onto the Sony PSP. It's an all-out bumper brawl as a motley assortment of cabbies race, ram, smash and dash their way to steal fares and score big tips. Fare Wars is a combination of the original Crazy Taxi and its sequel, brought for the first time to Sony's handheld. In the first Crazy Taxi, you a fearless cabbie with attitude, you're driven by a single goal: to rack up the mega-bucks in fares and tips before your shift ends. It's a race against the clock as you pick up passengers and white-knuckle it through busy streets and back alleys to their various destinations. To keep that meter collecting cash, you've gotta take the fastest route possible, even if it means bending the traffic laws - just a little. Drive the wrong way down a one-way street, catch air as you sail over rooftops, swerve between oncoming traffic or plough through a pavement cafe. But beware - the city is full of obstacles that are guaranteed to slow you down. And time is money! So get a grip on the wheel, sharpen your senses, and don't lose your cool. Crazy Taxi 2 switches scene from the hilly streets of San Francisco to New York. To get the most out of Crazy Taxi 2, it's important to learn the techniques such as quick starts, stops, and drifts (powerslides). Getting up to and losing speed quickly is necessary for good scores, and crazy drifts can be used for tight corners and 180 degree turns. A major new technique in Crazy Taxi 2 is the hop. By pressing the Y button, you can make your taxi leap into the air. Very useful for bouncing over oncoming traffic, reaching sneaky shortcuts and hopping from one rooftop to the next! Of course, the mini-games in the Pyramid mode will help you perfect your crazy techniques. These subgames such as Long Jump, Giant Golf Ball, and driving along cliffs while avoiding traffic will make you a taxi master in no time. Another gameplay tweak is the inclusion of multiple passengers. Now you can have up to four people in the back of your cab, all wanting to get to different locations.
